Hot Stone Massage Therapy available from Kim Hartford, Bisa Dobson, Beverly Greer

Smooth basalt stones are heated in hot water, then used as an extension of the therapist's hands to perform Swedish massage. Stones are also placed on specific spots along the body to keep those areas warm and promote relaxation.
Deep, penetrative heat increases circulation and blood flow, increase lymphatic flow, reduces muscle pain and spasm, and melts away stress and tension.
If deeper work is required, our heated trigger point stones will loosen stubborn tight spots.
Recommended for: Relaxation, clients with very tight muscles who don't tolerate deep tissue work, muscle pain, stiffness.
Not recommended for: 1st trimester of pregnancy, diabetes and other conditions that affect sensory nerves, high blood pressure, chronic congestive heart failure, acute injury, heat rash/stroke, sunburn, circulatory problems, deep vein thrombosis, infection, malignant tumours, sensitivity to heat.
Please note: we do not recommend this treatment on days when the temperature is over 30 degrees.
